For many years, the Sindelfingen Leos have been actively involved on site, more precisely at the AWO Social and Neighbourhood Centre Grund in Böblingen. The AWO is responsible for many social services, including child and youth work. Every month we meet with children between the ages of 5 and 12 to tinker or play, depending on the season. Of course there are costs for handicraft and baking materials as well as for bigger trips with the AWO Kids. In addition we donate annually to the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e. V. The money for this comes from the sale of drinks at the Sindelfinger Straßenfest, where we are represented every year with a stand next to the Martinskirche, as well as from the income at the Sindelfinger Christmas market. We are always happy about visitors. The Leo-Club Sindelfingen was founded in 1982 under the sponsorship of the Lions Club Böblingen-Sindelfingen. Currently most of our members are already working, but we are also happy to accept pupils, students or trainees with us.
